SIEMBRA NC ICE Watch & Preparedness Training
1737 Hillandale Rd, Durham, NC
Thursday, December 18 • 6:00 PM • St. Luke’s Episcopal Church
Dear friends,
As our immigrant neighbors face heightened fear and uncertainty with increased ICE activity in our region, we are called—as people of faith—to offer protection, solidarity, and clear-eyed preparedness. St. Luke’s will host SIEMBRA NC on Thursday, December 18 at 6:00 PM in the Nave for an important community training on ICE Watch and ICE Preparedness.
This training will help us:
• Understand how to recognize and verify potential ICE activity
• Learn what to do—and what not to do—when supporting our immigrant
neighbors
• Respond wisely rather than react out of fear or misinformation
• Build a safer, more informed, more compassionate network of support
for IBP and immigrant families across Durham
SIEMBRA NC is a trusted, grassroots organization dedicated to defending and empowering immigrant communities throughout North Carolina. Their trainings are practical, accessible, and deeply grounded in the belief that no one should face the threat of detention or deportation alone.
Whether you want to serve on the front lines of ICE Watch or simply want to understand how to stand with our neighbors, this training is for you. No registration required. All are welcome.
Let us continue to live into our calling to love the stranger, protect the vulnerable, and stand alongside our brothers and sisters with courage and grace.
