Whistle codes
ICE nearby (Code 1): Three short, quick blasts alert the community that ICE agents are in the area.
ICE detaining someone (Code Red): Three long, continuous blasts signal that an ICE detention is in progress.
How to respond
If you hear the code for ICE nearby: Move to a safe location if you are vulnerable. Others should continue whistling as long as the agents are visible.
If you hear the "Code Red" signal: Go to the location, join in with your own whistles, make noise, and form a crowd. Document the details and location of the event.
General response: Stay nonviolent and make noise to increase visibility and support the individual being detained.
